R. v. S.H. – January 2021
Impaired Driving Case Study: Plea Agreement Leads to Non-Criminal Offence
Our client was alleged to have driven her vehicle into a house while impaired. We argued to Crown counsel that there were issue with the police investigation at the roadside and demonstrated our client’s exceptional background as a survivor of significant childhood abuse working with at-risk populations as a support worker. We worked out an agreement for a plea to a non-criminal offence which allowed our client to keep her license for work.
