After a search of our client’s house pursuant to search warrant, he was charged with possession of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, ecstasy, meth and other drugs, all for the purpose of trafficking.  The Crown wanted a lengthy jail sentence.  We set the case for trial.  We raised a number of Charter arguments in the case including that our client did not get his trial within a reasonable time (s. 11(b)).  The Judge agreed and the charges were all thrown out.
