R. v. M.W. – March 2021

Our client was alleged to be driving under the influence of drugs when he collided with a telephone pole. We reviewed the evidence and determined that police had breached his rights by detaining him at the hospital without allowing him to speak to a lawyer. We successfully negotiated with Crown Counsel to resolve the matter with a conditional discharge, preventing out client from getting a criminal record.
