R. v. D.E. – June 2023

Police suspected that our client was impaired by marijuana when he drove past them without listening to their commands for him to slow down. Our client showed signs of impairment during a Standard Field Sobriety Test but Crown counsel ultimately agreed that the officer did not have the necessary evidence to make a demand for a Drug Recognition Expert Evaluation. Crown dropped the charges just before trial.
