R. v. M.B. – January 2023

Our client was suspected of being involved in a conspiracy to defraud over $20,000 which involved individuals posing as police officers and taking fake bail payment money from individuals for their family members they believed had been arrested. Despite our client being arrested at a residence being staked out by the police, we convinced Crown that they could not prove that our client had knowledge of the conspiracy or the fraud and that charges were dropped.
