R. v. Y.S. – September 2022
Robbery with a Firearm
Our client was charged with a co-accused of robbing the complainant at gunpoint. The complainant testified that he pulled over because our clients waved him down due to vehicle issues. Using text messages and working with co-counsel, the complainant was exposed on cross-examination to be a drug dealer meeting with our clients to sell marijuana. Crown agreed that his credibility was now ruined and stayed all charges against our clients.
