Sicotte and Henry

This client was caught driving with almost double the legal limit of alcohol in her blood.  She set the matter for trial on her own and then retained us just a month prior to the trial date.  Upon reading the documents, we discovered an error in the police procedures (they waited a bit too long to make the formal breath demand).  We convinced the Prosecutor to accept a guilty plea to Driving Without Due Care under the Motor Vehicle Act.  The criminal charges were dropped.  The client received a fine and a one month driving prohibition.
