Career Highlights

Craig did his undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia majoring in Political Science. He then attended the University of Victoria Law School as a Law Foundation Scholar and graduated with his Bachelor of Laws degree in 1990. He was granted a Clerkship in B.C. Supreme Court, articled at the law firm of Bull, Housser & Tupper, and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1991. Craig successfully defended his first impaired driving case while in his second year of law school. He has gone on to build a successful law practice focusing solely on defending those facing criminal charges. He has represented clients at all levels of court in British Columbia and at the Supreme Court of Canada in Ottawa. Craig's honesty and compassion with his clients combined with his tenacity and depth of experience has made him a very successful defender of his client's interests.

Career Highlights

In the summer of 1994, James spent four months with the R.C.M.P. detachment in Tofino, British Columbia. Along with general duties, he worked as the main investigator in two major cases (an employee fraud at a major government agency and a double arson in an aboriginal community). This valuable insight into how the R.C.M.P. investigates cases has assisted him in defending cases for his clients. Having articled at the firm of Ladner Downs (now Borden Ladner Gervais), James was exposed to several areas of practice including Labour Law, Land Law, Commercial Law, and Civil Litigation. During articles, he also spent one month working at Vancouver Crown Counsel (222 Main Street). As an associate at Harbottle and Company (May 1996 – July 1997), James worked on several commercial fraud cases where he acted for shareholders against fraudulent directors. Working with forensic accountants and reviewing numerous company records has benefited him in assisting clients charged in fraud matters. James has spent nine years as an associate with Sicotte and Henry and has worked almost exclusively in the area of criminal law. He has represented clients at all levels of Court in this province and has gained experience in all areas of criminal law including extensive work with young offenders. Career Highlights

While in law school, Kelly participated in the Law Students Legal Advice Program where he successfully defended his first criminal case. He articled with Jay Solomon, gaining experience in Criminal Defence, particularly with respect to marijuana grow operations.  After being called to the bar, Kelly worked for Murchison, Thomson and Clarke conducting federal drug prosecutions as an agent for the Department of Justice.  He joined Sicotte & Henry in 2007, now devoting his practice exclusively to criminal defence work.  Kelly has successfully defended clients at all levels of court in British Columbia.
